This is a finely woven 1920s Persian rug with intricate design that had very skillful hands at the loom. All the beautiful details are evident in the weave of the rug. It sits on a dark, midnight blue ground.. The paisleys all over the field represent “seeds of life” and “fertility”. These are very meaningful symbols that live on in the rug and speak a great deal of the women who wove it.

Good condition. Lightly scattered wear and beautifully aged.
