This is a fine 1920s Persian rug with intricate design that had very skillful hands at the loom. All the beautiful details are evident in the weave of the rug. It sits on a dark, midnight blue ground and rust borders. The paisleys all over the field represent “seeds of life” and “fertility”. These are very meaningful symbols that live on in the rug and speak a great deal of the women who wove it.
Condition: Good. Lightly scattered wear.
You may want to add a rug pad for this beauty and to keep it in place. You can order it and we'll custom cut it to size and send it out with the ruggie.
